Praise the Almighty, the powerful king of all honor,
O thou my spirit belovéd, that is my desire.
Come ye in throngs,
Psalt'ry and lyre, awake!
Let now the music be sounding.

Praise the Almighty, who all things so gloriously ruleth,
Who upon pinions of eagles to safety doth lead thee;
He thee protects
As even thee it will please;
Hast thou of this no perception?

Praise the Almighty, who doth with his splendor adorn thee,
Who hath thy health given to thee, and kindly doth guide thee;
In what great need
Hath not the merciful God
Over thee his wings extended?

Praise the Almighty, who thine estate clearly hath favored,
Who doth from heaven with streams of his love blessing shower;
Think now on this,
What the Almighty can do,
Who with his love now hath met thee.

Praise the Almighty, all that's in me, give his name honor.
All things that breath possess, praise him with Abraham's children!
He is thy light,
Spirit, yea, this forget not;
Praising him, close thou with amen!
